Thermal STR8 Take-Home Kit Guidelines

The five RUSK® products that you've received in your take-home kit will assist you in creating and maintaining the straight look that was first achieved here at RED 7 SALON. However, there are also specific guidelines you must follow AFTER you leave the salon in order to be certain the service you just received will not be compromised. Please remember that although this is a lengthy and costly service, it can only be guaranteed by following the guidelines provided for you. Some of the guidelines may seem difficult and cumbersome, but rest assured that the time you will save long-term will create added value to your overall service. For the first 72 HOURS.


• No water or moisture may touch the hair. This includes, but is not limited to the following: showers, steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, or perspiration (exercise). Instead of taking a shower in the mornings, relax in a bath at a lukewarm temperature so that there is absolutely NO steam from the water.
  


• Do not use any of the following in your hair: rubber bands, clips, bobby pins, hair bands, or headbands.
  


• Do not tuck your hair behind your ears. To do so will cause a permanent indentation in the hair as the disulfide bonds are re-hardening during this 72-hour time frame.
  


• It is recommended that you use a silk or satin pillowcase at nights so as not to create unnecessary friction.
  


• Avoid all hair products. You may only use RUSK® IR Shine Spray.


Wait 7-10 days before.


• Performing any other chemical service on your hair, such as single process color or partial/full highlighting of hair.
        
  NOTE: If additional chemical services are desired, please be sure that you inform your stylist/colorist of the Thermal STR8ing procedure that has been performed on your hair. To not do so may result in a loss or breakage of your hair.


Daily Regiment.


• Shampoo with RUSK® Calm Nourishing Shampoo
  
  
• Condition with RUSK® Calm 60 Second Hair Revive
  
  
• Towel-dry your hair about 40% dry by pressing with a towel - don't rub.
  
  
• Apply RUSK® STR8 Anti-Curl/Anti-Frizz Lotion from root to ends
  
  
• Blow dry hair
  
  
• Apply RUSK® IR Shine Spray or RUSK® Sheer Brilliance for a finishing shine to your straight hair!


Touch-Ups.


• While waiting to perform a touch-up, you may simply flat iron your new root growth to maintain your straight hair. Most new root growth will give your straight look more body.
  


• There must be a minimum of 3-4 inches re-growth before performing a touch-up would be considered; this may be 5-9 months of growth (dependent upon many individualized variables). When you are ready for a touch-up, please call us again at 312-644-7337 to schedule your appointment.
