Anything that makes your hair look tousled is in for parties," says Francine Charak, senior stylist with RED 7 SALON on Kinzie Street. "It's the sexy, just-got-out-of-bed look."

Getting the look is easy with flat irons or curling irons with a three-quarter-inch rod.

"Your hair should be 90 percent dry before you use an iron it," Charak says.

Charak says her "trick of the trade" requires no extra products. "When you use hand lotion just run your fingers through your hair after you've rubbed it on your hands. It's a quick fix for taking out the static."
